The New Barn consists of 10 single bedrooms, which have very recently been redesigned and refurbished to exceed the Government’s ‘National Minimum Standards’.
There are two bathrooms, three toilets and showering facilities for use by the residents. New Barn has a lovely conservatory offering pleasant views across the open spaces and fields, and which also acts as an activities room for the residents. The ground floor of the home consists of a large living room, office, kitchen, dining area and separate laundry room. A patio seating area is situated outside and gardens provided for the benefit of all the residents. A bedroom and training room is provided within the home for staff use during the night so they can be at hand should service users require any help or support.
Our staffing levels are driven by the assessed needs of the service users. We ensure that the shift rota accommodates maximum numbers of carers at all times to meet these needs. Where necessary staff will work on a one to one basis or even two to one basis.
